Inception Games respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, processed, stored, and shared when you play SleepWatch on Meta Quest / Meta Horizon platforms.
SleepWatch uses Meta Platform Services, Unity Gaming Services, multiplayer networking, voice chat, and optional device features such as microphone, hand tracking, eye tracking, and face-expression tracking where supported and permitted by the user.
1. Data We Collect or Process
A. Meta Platform Data
When you use SleepWatch, the game may access or process limited data provided by Meta Platform Services, including:
- Meta user ID
- Meta display name / username
- Entitlement status, to verify that you own or are allowed to use the app
- Leaderboard entries, such as survival time, score, rank, and timestamp
- Achievement progress and unlock state
- Group Presence, destination, deep-link, lobby session, match session, and join intent data for multiplayer joining
This data is used only to provide Meta platform features inside the game.
B. Multiplayer and Online Session Data
SleepWatch includes multiplayer / observer features. To support these features, the game may use Unity Gaming Services and related services to process:
- Anonymous Unity player identifier
- Session or lobby ID
- Relay join code
- Multiplayer role, such as Sleeper or Observer
- Session state, connection status, and participant count
- Network messages needed to synchronize gameplay events, camera pose, blink events, sounds, timelines, and ghost visibility between connected players
This data is used only to create, join, maintain, and end multiplayer sessions.
C. Voice Chat and Microphone Data
If voice chat is enabled, SleepWatch uses Vivox / Unity voice services to provide real-time voice communication between players.
The game may request microphone permission. Voice audio is transmitted for real-time communication and is not recorded or stored by Inception Games.
If microphone permission is denied or voice chat is disabled, the game may join voice receive-only or skip voice features.
D. Device, Tracking, and Sensor Data
SleepWatch may process device data from the Meta Quest headset and controllers to run the VR experience, including:
- Headset position and rotation
- Controller position and input
- Hand tracking data, if hand tracking is used
- Eye tracking / gaze-related data, if supported by the device and permission is granted
- Face-expression data, if supported by the device and permission is granted
SleepWatch may use face-expression or eye-related data for gameplay features such as blinking, eye-closing effects, observer synchronization, or immersive interaction.
Inception Games does not use this data to identify you, does not create biometric templates, and does not sell or use this data for advertising.
E. Web Relay / Observer Dashboard Data
SleepWatch may connect to an Inception Games web relay server to support browser-based observer commands or remote observer functionality. The relay may process:
- Session join code
- Host registration message
- Observer presence count
- Observer display name, if provided by the observer interface
- Gameplay command IDs and command results
This data is used only to connect the active game session with the observer dashboard and is not used for advertising or profiling.
F. Local Settings and Gameplay Data
The game may store local preferences on your device, such as:
- Voice chat enabled/disabled
- Microphone enabled/disabled
- Haptics settings
- Tutorial or gameplay preferences
- Latest run display values
These settings are stored locally where possible and are used only to remember your preferences.
2. How We Use Data
We use the data described above to:
- Run and maintain the game
- Verify app entitlement
- Submit and display leaderboard scores
- Unlock and display achievements
- Create and join multiplayer sessions
- Support Meta Group Presence and quick-join / deep-link flows
- Synchronize multiplayer gameplay state
- Provide optional voice chat
- Support observer mode and web observer commands
- Improve stability, security, and gameplay functionality
- Respond to user support, deletion, or privacy requests
We do not sell user data. We do not use user data for behavioral advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
SleepWatch may rely on the following service providers:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. for Meta Quest / Meta Horizon platform services, user ID, profile data, entitlement, achievements, leaderboards, group presence, and deep linking.
- Unity Technologies / Unity Gaming Services for anonymous authentication, multiplayer sessions, relay networking, and Vivox voice chat.
- Hosting / server providers used by Inception Games for the SleepWatch web relay or observer dashboard.
These services process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- Meta leaderboard, achievement, entitlement, profile, and presence data are stored and managed by Meta.
- Unity multiplayer, relay, anonymous authentication, and Vivox voice data are processed by Unity services.
- Web relay session data is intended to be temporary and used only while a multiplayer / observer session is active.
- Inception Games does not maintain a separate long-term player database for SleepWatch.
- Local game settings may remain on your device until you delete the app data or uninstall the app.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only as needed to provide the game’s features, including with Meta, Unity, Vivox, and hosting providers used to operate SleepWatch services.
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
6. User Controls and Deletion
You may manage Meta platform data through your Meta account and device privacy settings.
You may disable or deny permissions such as microphone, eye tracking, face tracking, or other device permissions through your Meta Quest settings, where available. Some features may not work without the required permissions.

7. Children’s Privacy
SleepWatch is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at info@inceptiongames.hu.
8. International Transfers
Meta, Unity, Vivox, hosting providers, and Inception Games may process data in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, data transfers are handled according to applicable legal safeguards.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed through SleepWatch. However, no online service or networked game can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Please review this policy periodically.
