At Inception Games, we respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how information is handled when you play SleepWatch on Meta Quest.
This policy explains what data is collected, how it’s used, where it’s stored, and how you can request deletion—including data processed through Meta’s Platform Services (leaderboards and achievements).
1) What Data Is Collected
A. Data generated by gameplay (via Meta SDK features)
When you use leaderboards or achievements, the game exchanges limited gameplay data with Meta’s Platform Services:
- Account identifiers provided by Meta (e.g., a platform user ID and/or your platform display name/gamertag, as exposed by Meta to apps using these features).
- Leaderboard entries (e.g., survival time, score, timestamp).
- Achievement progress/state (e.g., milestones earned).
How it’s collected:
- The game client generates scores/survival time and sends them through the Meta Platform SDK to record and retrieve leaderboards/achievements.
B. Data handled by the Meta platform
Your headset/platform may collect device, diagnostics, and usage information under Meta’s own privacy terms. Inception Games does not receive or store this data.
We do not collect: names outside your platform display name, email addresses, contact lists, precise location, payment details, or biometric data.
2) How We Use the Data
- Leaderboards: to submit and display your ranking (longest survival time).
- Achievements: to grant and show in-game achievements you’ve earned.
No advertising, behavioral tracking, or external analytics are performed by Inception Games. We do not sell or share your data outside the platform features needed for gameplay.
3) Where Data Is Stored and For How Long
- Leaderboard and achievement data are stored and managed by Meta Platforms, Inc. as part of the Meta Platform Services.
- Inception Games does not host or retain this data on our own servers.
- Retention is governed by Meta’s policies. You can manage or remove data through your Meta account controls.
For more information, see Meta’s Privacy Policy and VR supplemental notices (accessible from Meta Quest device Settings or via meta.com/legal).
4) Data Access, Control, and Deletion
Because leaderboard and achievement records are stored by Meta:
- Use your Meta account privacy/settings to manage or delete data associated with SleepWatch (including leaderboard entries and achievements).
- You may also email us at info@inceptiongames.hu. We’ll assist by forwarding your request or guiding you to the appropriate Meta process.
- Where applicable, you can disconnect app permissions through your Meta account.
5) Legal Bases (GDPR where applicable)
- Performance of a contract: to provide core game functionality (leaderboards/achievements).
- Legitimate interests: to maintain fair rankings and achievement systems.
We rely on Meta’s platform to process and secure this data.
6) Children’s Privacy
SleepWatch is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at info@inceptiongames.hu
7) International Transfers
Data processed by Meta may be stored or transferred internationally under Meta’s policies and safeguards. Inception Games does not control the storage location of platform data.
8) Security
Meta is responsible for securing data stored on its platform. Inception Games does not store leaderboard/achievement data on our servers.
